Ali is the stepdaughter of Bob Champion of Newmarket, Suffolk, and the daughter of Darcy Champion of Kingham, Oxfordshire. She has two children, Bunny and Albert, with her husband, Rupert.

A miniature Shetland pony from Norfolk is set to make a television appearance on ITV this weekend.

The 18-year-old miniature pony, who has made a name for himself across the county, will feature on Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh show on Sunday 18th February 2024.

The show, which explores the best of the British countryside, will showcase the rescue pony turned local celebrity Jack Brock who is an official dementia ambassador renowned for his charity work across East Anglia.

My children’s favourite thing to do is to have tea parties in our house with their teddies and our titchy Shetland pony, Jack — yes, really!

I was taking him for a walk one day, realised I’d left my mobile phone in the house so nipped in to get it and he followed me in, did a lap of the kitchen and looked very much at home.

It really tickled me so I kept letting him in after that. He’s even been known to sit and watch the horse racing on TV with my husband (who rolls his eyes at the madness of it all) and once joined us for a dinner party.

Mini Shetland pony visits residents at care home

Residents at a care home have been treated to a visit from a miniature Shetland pony.

Jack Brock and his handler Ali, went along to spread some much-needed cheer.

Jack has been visiting people in care homes for the last two years, but due to the pandemic, those visits had to stop.

So instead, residents and staff waved to the 28 inch pony through the glass doors.
